How can I verify my NETELLER Account?
Verifying your identity with NETELLER will not only ensure the security of your account but you will have access to higher limits and other deposit options. You will also be able to apply for the Net+ Prepaid Mastercard.
Once you have started using your account to make transactions, you will be given the option to provide an additional verification of your identity, by uploading a clear, legible, valid and unaltered scanned color copy or photo of one of the following documents:
- The front and back of your driving license
- The photo page of your passport
- Front and back of your national ID card
- Address verification document
- Face match/selfie picture of your ID
You can start the process of uploading a copy of your photo identification documents by clicking on the blue banner, visible after you login to your NETELLER account.
Fund your account and Create your personal security questions
To start the verification process, you should fund your NETELLER account and create your security questions.
Once the security questions created, you will have the possibility to enable the two-step authentication by clicking on Enable two-step authentication. If you do not wish to do so at the moment, you can simply click on No thank you in order to continue with the verification process.
Verify you ID
By clicking on Upload, you will have the possibility to upload your ID to our secure system by using your webcam. If you don’t have a webcam on your computer, you can download the NETELLER application (NETELLER Apple App Store/NETELLER Google Play) and use your smartphone camera in order to easily complete this verification step.
In order to successfully complete the verification process, you will need to allow the pop-ups in your browser.
Now you will be prompted to enable your Webcam or download the NETELLER Mobile App to initiate a face match/selfie picture of your ID.
Choose the type of document you would like to provide, fill up the required information and then click on Verify.
Note: If your document has no expiry date, please check the space next to No expiry. You need to click on the Allow button in the upper left corner of the page in order to be able to continue.
By clicking on Verify you will be given the option to choose your document type and country of issuance.
Note: The issuing country will be preselected based on your country of registration. If your ID document is issued by another country, please select it from the drop-down menu. Failure to change to the correct country may cause upload error.
What kinds of NETELLER Accounts are there, and what limits do they have?
The limits on your account depend on what kind of account you have. All new members start out with an UNVERIFIED account. Members may then upgrade to a VERIFIED account which offers more features and benefits, including higher limits, and the option to apply for the Net+ Mastercard.*
What are UNVERIFIED accounts?
All members start with an unverified account when they first sign up for a NETELLER Account. An unverified account is a basic entry level NETELLER Account. Unverified accounts allow you to deposit quickly and transfer funds to any online merchant or to friends and family. However, to take full advantage of all NETELLER services, including higher limits, the ability to withdraw and more, you will need to verify your account.
The lifetime funding limit of an unverified account is 500 USD, 1,500 USD or 2000 USD depending on your country of residence. This means that the sum of all credits into your account cannot exceed 2,000 USD (1,500 or 500 USD respectively) – including any deposits, transfers from other websites, or transfers from friends. Our system will let you exceed this lifetime funding limit, but your account will be immediately frozen and you will be required to upload verification documents in order to access those funds. In addition to the cumulative lifetime funding limit, an unverified account holder also has lifetime limits for each of various types of transactions.
To view the limits of your account, simply roll your mouse cursor over the green question mark within your NETELLER Account.
To increase your limits, withdraw funds, and take full advantage of your NETELLER Account, simply verify it by uploading ID documents.
What are VERIFIED accounts?
NETELLER is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. As a regulated financial institution, we need to know who is using our system. When you verify your account, we ask you to provide proof of identification and proof of address. This makes things more secure for all members by helping to prevent fraud or identity theft.
Once your account has been verified, you are provided with much higher limits, as well as the ability to withdraw funds.
How can I increase my account limits?
After your account is verified, your limits will remain the same unless you become a VIP member. Most VIP members have the same limits as verified members, but may request higher limits for credit, debit, and Get2Pay card deposits, or for Bank Transfer withdrawals. Requests to raise limits are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
